Concern about the condition of the world that is on the verge
He said he was concerned that the world was on the brink of a series of crises, ranging from a worsening climate emergency and escalating wars and conflicts, to rising poverty, widening inequality and geopolitical tensions.

Guterres emphasized that ASEAN is need as a multilateral institution that can bridge differences and build understanding.

Guterres, who responded again about the energy transition at the 13th ASEAN-UN Summit. Also said that ASEAN was uniquely position to become a leader in a global. Sustainable, inclusive and just energy transition.

Big ambition is need regarding the renewable energy revolution

Antonio claims to have proposed a climate solidarity pact in which all large emitters make extra efforts to reduce emissions. In it, the UN asks rich countries to support developing countries to do this. Developed countries are encourage to reach net zero by 2040. Meanwhile, developing countries are as soon as possible in 2050.
