We now know that Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz was one of the famous fans who attended Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour.
The musician talked about his experience at the pop star’s career-spanning concert in an interview with the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Duritz says of witnessing Swift perform live, “I was floor. Despite not listening to Swift’s music for the previous ten years, the rock musician acknowledged that he started listening again with the publication of her two major albums in 2020, Folklore and Evermore.
“I was a huge admirer when she first started, but it had been around ten years since I had listened to her. I couldn’t believe how fantastic the Folklore and Evermore music was, and my fiancée, who is devoted, booked us tickets and created me a playlist. Can’t find a lot of big events interesting since it appears like there are just people and dancers and everything else. However, this was a masterpiece that resembled a cross between a Broadway production and a Universal Studios ride.
Duritz loved Folklore so much that he performed a piano cover of the album’s opening track, “The 1,” during the Crows’ Las Vegas performance at Palms Casino Resort on Saturday. An accordion carried him through the majority of the song, and the rest of the backing band joined him for the song’s conclusion.
But don’t you think we were something? Tossing coins into the pool in the roaring 20s, thinking, “If my wishes had come true, it would have been you.” I have no defense to offer. In the song’s chorus, Duritz sung, “For never leaving well enough alone/ But it would’ve been fun/ If you would’ve been the one.”
